Flood Restoration

Dave Harrison of Safeclean Nantwich & Wrexham/Stafford attended a call out to a bungalow in Crewe.

The property was up for sale and had not been lived in for 6 months. The owners of the property received a call from one their neighbours, explaining they saw water coming out of the bottom of both the front and back doors. When they investigated, they found a large leak after a thaw in a frozen mains pipe.

One of the estate agencies that Dave does regular work for asked him if he could do anything about the overriding damp smell. Upon his arrival, Dave found that the floors were concrete, so it was still swimming in water along with the associated awful smell.

Dave rigged up his extraction machine, and over an hour later he had recovered 22 gallons of water from the carpeted floor areas. He then contacted the owners, and on their behalf, he arranged to hire a dehumidifier for the property.

Dave followed up 4 days later to fully clean and decontaminate the carpets throughout.

The initial call led to three jobs and Dave has also given the customer a letter confirming the carpets have been professionally cleaned - which will help as the property is now back on the market.

Good result Dave - exceptional customer care!
