Safeclean are proud to be established, founder members of the British Franchise Association
In 1977 major franchise companies in the UK decided to set up their own association with the objective
“to help potential franchisees recognise the good from the ‘not so good”. As such, they are the ethical
voice of the industry. They help potential franchisees to find a compatible organisation and also help to
determine if a possible franchisor has a viable business to franchise.
The BFA accredits franchising companies who meet their strict criteria. They assess companies on the
structure of the franchise business, the terms of the contract between franchisor and franchisee, the
testing of the system and its success as a franchise. Only if they meet these measures are they able to
become a member.
Safeclean is proud to have helped found the association, and over the last 30 years has remained a full
member, even serving at one time on the Board of Directors.
It is extremely important to us to have been a member for so long. It proves that as a business we have
complete integrity, being honour bound by its code of ethics and we are a trusted brand for both our
franchisees and the service that they provide to consumers.
As part of their aim to support both franchisees and franchisors, potential and existing, the BFA hold
regular seminars and workshops, which are available to both its members and the general public.
Safeclean regularly attends the events available to help us to continually grow the business and develop
ourselves as your franchisor.
